Select a famous artist and create an A2 size artist study page.
Complete a detailed Artist Study on a 'Street Artist'; use the techniques and layout introduced in your lessons.
Either find your own Artist or look at one of the following: Shepard Fariley, Swoon, D*Face, Banksy, Invader
The artist study page needs to show some kind of design to it & should be planned out in rough before you begin. Complete an analysis of the work you have looked at.
Artist Analysis:
• Write a detailed response to the works of art you are looking at using full sentences and key language.
• Try to think about the images and what the artist was trying to show through their work.
• Find out about the artist and demonstrate your knowledge of their life and work to put the images in context. For example – when where they born? Where do they work? What medium do they use? What types of colours appear in their work?
Task 2:
Create your own version of the artist’s work using the same materials (if possible), subject matter & think about the compostion of your work.
Annotate the work you have completed fully, and present to a high standard.

Go onto ebay website and research the ‘sellers’ section of the site. Summarize all the key points including: seller’s fees and how to write a listing.
Read 5 case studies about ebay success stories. Using these as inspiration, come up with an idea for things to sell on ebay. You need to make note of who the target market is and your projected costs.
Evaluate the use of ebay to start a business. Are there any alternatives that you think are better suited to your needs?

Week 5:
List jobs that use the skill of arguing effectively. For example, members of parliament have to argue new laws and policies against the opposing party.
Week 6:
Think of the last film you watched. What mark would you give it out of 10 if you had to rate it? Why?

Research a controversial topic that interests you and that divides people’s opinions, for example animal testing or capital punishment. Make a table of arguments for and against your topic, exploring both sides of the argument.

In Design Technology analysis (breaking down and interrogating a subject) is key to understanding a context or problem-before we try to solve it!
ACCESS FM is a good way to make sure that you are analyzing in detail.

Pick a garment of your choice and analyse it in as much detail as possible. Look in particular at the ‘Aesthetics’ and how they have decorated the garment to suit the target market. Show a picture of the garment and analyse around it. Your analysis should be presented on A4 paper, neatly.
Pick 3 Fashion Houses/designers e.g. Stella McCartney. Find out what types of garment they like to design and who it is aimed at. Pick one example and develop the design for a different user group. Justify your developments and link these justifications to the ACCESSFM points.
