In class we have been working hard to design and develop the final logo for your Fast-Food Chain. There are some really exciting ideas and they look great in CAD! (Computed Aided Design)
As with any large chain of shops, lots of time and money is invested in making the ‘face’ of the brand enticing. People have to want to come in and buy your goods if the chain is to be successful!!
The way the staff are dressed is a key part of this.
What do you think are the 5 most important design features of a good uniform?
E.G.
-Uniform design MUST feature your logo.
- Uniform design MUST feature your company name.
Consider the keywords we have been learning in class for styles of writing and colour choices.
• Serif/Sans Serif/Decorative-Typefaces
• Primary/Secondary/Tertiary colour groups
• Analogue/Complimentary colour groups
Design the uniform that you would have your staff wear when they are serving customers in your Fast Food chain.
Think about
-who will be wearing it?
-what they will be doing when wearing it?
-How do you want it to look? (serious, funny, friendly, bright etc)
-Which colours would be suitable? (think about your logo design)
-Should your motto/slogan feature?
-Do you want different versions for male and female staff?
Design work must be presented neatly and in colour.
Use notes to explain each part of the design fully,
e.g.
‘I have chosen to use Yellow for the top with an oversized green leaf on the sleeve because I think the yellow is bold and exciting and the leaf shows that the food is organic’.
Embroidery would be one technique that could be used to put your logo onto your uniform. Research this and 2 other techniques that could be used to put your logo onto your uniform. Present your research in sentences, and find one image to support each of the three techniques.
